Today, most learners are not studying English to analyse sentences or to become linguists. However, most English learners want to communicate, interact, and socialise with other people using the language they have learnt. While books and rules remain important to build a sound foundation for the English language, genuine human interaction will give learners the hands on experience they desire when communicating in English.
English Domain recognises the need that many foreign students, of a certain age bracket, have to socialise with people of different cultures and to learn about different traditions. Thus, we have created a learning programme that focuses on hobbies or leisure activities while allowing the full practise of English. Consequently, students will be fully immersed in the language whilst enjoying the hobby of their choice. LEAF has been designed with the hope that more mature students decide to visit the Maltese Islands to learn English and to learn about our culture.
To date we can offer courses in Art, Cookery, Aviation, Photography, Sports and Crafts.
